PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Restaurants and bars are back open, but it does not mean the indoor experience will be the same.
While the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) is allowing indoor dining again, bars and restaurant owners have to follow the mitigation requirements to continue that norm.
To help keep the 7-day positivity rate below 8% to avoid moving back to Tier 2, the IDPH released a set of rules.
Establishments cannot have people dining in for more than two hours, indoor services are limited to 25% capacity per room, and all parties must make a reservation to be seated.

Reclaiming the Relationship Between Your Customers and Your Brand
These days, customers have more choices than ever before when it comes to what, where and how they make purchases. Interacting with a brand isn't just confined to a simple space and point in time. Today's customers interact with brands from all over the world at all hours of the day and from wherever the customers are, thanks to the proliferation of smartphones and 24/7 customer service.
The rise of big online retailers means that the relationship between brand and individual is more separated than it has been in the past. However, with the right digital tools and strategy, your business can reinstate that relationship and get potential customers more closely associating your brand with your products.

IHOP introduces burritos and bowls in push for more takeout customers
IHOP is adding burritos and bowls to its menu as the pancake chain tries to entice customers back to its locations for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Like many restaurants, the Dine Brands chain cut back its menu as the coronavirus pandemic weighed on its business last year. Facing supply chain challenges and hoping to simplify the jobs of its kitchens, IHOP's menu went from 12 pages to just one page, double-sided. Chief Marketing Officer Brad Haley estimates that the chain cut more than a third of its menu items.

Con Edison Can 'Connect' Customers With Solar Energy And Savings
NEW YORK , Jan. 19, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Con Edison is offering, free of charge, a device that can save upwards of $1,000 for a residential customer installing a new solar array.
The Smart ConnectDER is an adapter that uses the electric meter socket as a point of interconnection for solar power. It fits on most electric meters and works for solar arrays up to 15 kilowatts – meaning nearly all residential solar projects.
In addition, on homes where the meter socket is on an exterior wall, the installer does not have to enter the home to connect the solar to the home wiring. That means less contact and potential for coronavirus exposure between the installer and homeowner.
Why customer-centricity means being ready to say "no" | The Enterprisers Project
Salespeople who want to know what customer-centricity really means could do worse than to look at early Hebrew literature; about 700 B.C. to be exact, and the proverbs of King Solomon. Along with advice on the nature of wisdom and the state of the soul comes this helpful nugget: "Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful." In short, best friends tell harsh truths.
Experience tells me it's true. I've had friends warn me off a course of behavior, make me think twice about a career move, or reveal things in others that I couldn't see before. I'm sure you recognize this. The people who tell you what you need to know (but don't necessarily want to hear) are the friendships that endure.
