One of the nation's fastest-growing franchised providers of salon suites has opened its first Chattanooga storefront in the Hamilton Village across from Hamilton Place Mall.
Jenny Nevle, a franchisee for Phenix Salon Suites who operates other Phenix Salon Suites in the Atlanta area, is opening the new 5,600-square-foot facility in East Brainerd to house up to 31 suites of hairstylists, masseuses, beauticians, estheticians, barbers and other independent operators.

Dirty Girl Donuts reopens storefront in Sonoma
Dirty Girl Donuts has opened its doors in the former Subway franchise location at 927 Broadway. Its grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 27.
The gourmet donut shop arrived in Sonoma in January 2020. Owner Marisa Wondolleck briefly operated out of the former Massage Envy storefront on the Plaza (452 First St. E.) and then operated out of Sonoma's Best on East Napa Street before signing a lease for the Broadway space.

WOBURN - The Downtown Storefront Sign and Facade Program directed by the Woburn Redevelopment Authority is moving along with funds still available for downtown property owners and businesses.
The latest to get WRA approval is applicant Nikki Zhang of Nikki's Nails at 440 Main Steet in the heart of Woburn Center. The total grant sought and approved was $1,860.
The request to the WRA for a new sign came after the former business, Impression Nail Salon, was sold and the new owner needed the funds for a new sign.

SMITHFIELD, Va. (WAVY) — Fire-rescue officials say a parked car was pushed into the front of a store by another vehicle in Smithfield Wednesday.
Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department officials said a vehicle traveled about 200 yards off the roadway and struck a parked car, forcing it into the storefront.
