Is this empty Hall Road storefront the site of Amazon Fresh's first Michigan location?

The proposed remodeling of the former Gander Outdoors store in Shelby Township could be a harbinger of a new grocery option making its way across the country: Amazon Fresh.

A site plan I obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request to Shelby Township shows a new exterior to the building at 13975 Hall Road that looks almost exactly like exterior photographs I've seen of Amazon Fresh locations.

Assuming it is Amazon Fresh, it would be the first known Michigan location for Jeff Bezos' company's chain of brick-and-mortar grocery stores.

No, The Closure of the PS3 Storefront is Not the "Inevitable Digital Future" –

The news has been met with a barrage of “forever physical” tweets and outcries against the sad “inevitable future” of digital media. And while, yes, seeing an ageing digital storefront shutter is never good news, it doesn’t necessarily represent what will happen to all our digital games over time.

One major thing has changed in recent years that wasn’t the case with PS3, Vita or PSP: backwards compatibility. You’ve never been able to play your PS3 games on PS4, and your Vita/PSP libraries have been limited to those devices. And with all three pieces of hardware long out of production, it’s a sad reality that their storefronts wouldn’t last forever.

These 2 Moms Grew Little Hoboken to a Local Storefront for Parents + Kids - Hoboken Girl

There's something to be said for two moms joining forces to connect the community. 'I Have More Of A Storefront Now': Milwaukee Dance Studio Owner Finds Silver Lining

"Then March hit. And it was just like, I think, the second week of March I had to shut down. I was closed from ... March through June, no business at all. ... June was the end of my lease, so I was just like there's no way I can renew my lease right now, like I really don't know where we're going. And I was out by the end of June," she says.

By August, she felt the pressure of not having a place to put her business. She says at the time she felt hopeful about the pandemic.

Point Place Casino opens new storefront during the pandemic | WSYR

BRIDGEPORT, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A year ago, the Oneida Indian Nation was shutting the doors of its casinos, Point Place in Bridgeport being one of them. But now, they’re opening a new shop called Perfect Pour Cafe featuring all things local.

The opportunity couldn’t come at a better time for Utica Coffee. Just a year ago, the president of the company says sales were down 99%.

“We’ve always believed we needed to keep moving forward. At some point, we knew the pandemic would come to an end. But yet, it was a struggle for all of us because we’re all in the same place. But we’re doing better now,” said Ray Halbritter, CEO of Oneida Nation Enterprises.

Buckeye Designs & Engraving brings new vision and storefront downtown

CHILLICOTHE — He may be one of the youngest business owners downtown, but where Cameron Snowden lacks birthdays, he makes up for it with a fresh vision.

In 2015, Ross County native Ben Barker started Buckeye Designs & Engraving as a way to supplement his income and support his family. After five years of running the business, and with a new job as a federal police officer, Barker decided it was time to pass it on. He connected with Snowden — who is young, smart, and willing to learn — and thought it made a perfect fit.
