Soaring Prices for Enjin, FLOW and Rarible Reveal Risks of 'NFT Marketplace' Tokens -

A $6.6 million digital token representing an  animated clip of a graffiti-covered Donald Trump  lying face down in the grass. A $1 million batch of 34 "digital collectibles" known as  CryptoPunks . A $69,000 dogecoin-inspired digital token  representing a pixelated cat image.

The price tags for these "non-fungible tokens," or NFTs, might seem daunting, inaccessible or downright ridiculous to the average person.

That’s why some cryptocurrency traders, rather than buying NFTs directly, are buying digital tokens affiliated with the marketplaces that have popped up for trading NFTs. This way traders can bet on the NFT industry's growth without having to go all-in on some sky-high priced digital artwork or trading card.

The SPAC craze, explained - Marketplace

Space transportation company Rocket Lab , electric carmaker Lucid Motors and flying taxi company Joby Aviation are a few of the startups to recently agree to go public by merging with a special purpose acquisition company, otherwise known as a SPAC .

These deals, sometimes called "blank-check" mergers, happen when a SPAC raises money from investors to then buy a private company, effectively taking the company public and skirting the traditional initial public offering process.

Delivery company Waitr to launch weed delivery marketplace

The Lafayette, La.-based provider is working with payment processor Flow Payments to "create a compliant marketplace, delivery and payment solution" for cannabis dispensaries, the company announced Thursday.

Waitr will handle the logistics and technology, while Flow will contribute its expertise in processing payments for high-risk merchants. Waitr could be the first food delivery company to get into the marijuana vertical.

While laws regulating marijuana are easing across the country, recreational pot delivery is currently legal in only six states, according to cannabis website Leafly. They are California, Oregon, Maine, Nevada, Massachusetts and Michigan. Medical marijuana delivery is legal in 12 states.
