At least one officer opened fire when the driver reversed his vehicle into the patrol car, Railsback said.
Swyft releases patented contactless shopping technology
The Silicon Valley-based technology company advised that the new technology has been made immediately available in stores in major US airports like San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Atlanta Hartsfield (ATL) and Houston (IAH). The technology is initially being deployed at top US airports and will also soon be available at more than 1,000 of Swyft's US robotic stores.
Since 2014 Swyft has filed several patents to protect its methods of mobile shopping from vending machines and robotic stores. Swyft had subsequently acquired Utique, Inc. to create a formidable portfolio of intellectual property in the space.
Shopping for Toilet Brushes - The New York Times
The toilet brush may be one of the least glamorous things in your home, but it's still worth having one that isn't completely off-putting. That's because it's a tool that — like it or not — is always on display, sitting beside the toilet.
Fortunately, many designers and manufacturers have moved beyond utilitarian scrubbers and are now making toilet brushes with more appeal. Some are even in the Museum of Modern Art's collection — like the Excalibur Toilet Brush that Philippe Starck designed for Heller in 1993, which shields a user's hand from splashes like a sword guard. (Sadly, it's no longer in production.)

Amazon Dash Smart Shelf Review: The Future of Automatic Shopping | WIRED
Behold, Amazon's vision for our interface-free future of shopping: You need not even utter a sigh in the vicinity of an Alexa speaker or press a garbage-bag-branded dongle . Your appliances just know . The Dash Shelf is like an empty Amazon warehouse shelf, begging to be restocked; only in this case, it's in your office. Or your home. Or your home office .
The Dash Smart Shelf assumes a lot. Its purpose is to replenish nondurable goods—items like printer paper or pet food. So it assumes you want that product to show up on your doorstep on a regular basis. But it also defaults to the same product again and again, and it's not necessarily scanning for the best deal. In Amazon's world, convenience is so delicious that you don't bother to glance at the menu—never mind the shock when the bill comes. (What's that saying about those who assume?)
