EDINBURGH — Centra Credit Union had a ceremonial groundbreaking for its new Edinburgh branch May 18. The new branch is being constructed one mile north of the current Edinburgh location on U.S. 31.
Edinburgh Branch Sales Manager Amber Foster, Centra Chief Sales Officer Chris Bottorff and other Centra leaders were joined by representatives from NewGround and The Koetter Group as well as Edinburgh council members and department heads. The building is being designed by NewGround, an architect who specializes in design of financial institutions and built by Koetter Group.

Feeding Southwest Virginia says this Mobile Food Pantry distribution and Mobile Marketplace will be at the Jackson River Sports Complex at 870 W Edgemont Drive from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 28.
“The Mobile Food Pantry distributions were instituted by Feeding Southwest Virginia in March 2020 as a COVID-19 response. The Mobile Marketplace is a new program, launched last month, that is designed to offer affordable fresh foods and SNAP benefit accessibility to underserved demographic groups and rural locations,” Feeding Southwest Virginia said in a statement earlier this week.
