Power restored to all customers in Champaign County

More than 1,400 AES Power customers were without power Friday night as showers and storms move through the region.

The outage affected customers in an area north of Urbana and was reported at 7:51 p.m. By 10 p.m., all power was restored, according to the AES, formerly DP&L online outage map .

Publix to accept walk-in customers for COVID-19 vaccinations | WFLA

TAMPA (WFLA) – Starting Monday, May 10, all Publix Pharmacy locations will accept walk-in customers who want to get the COVID-19 vaccine, in addition to those who schedule appointments online, while supplies last.

Vaccinations are available to eligible individuals ages 18 and older, and walk-in customers may choose between the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, pending availability.

APS customers to receive settlement checks in coming weeks

PHOENIX — Thousands of Arizona Public Service (APS) customers will be receiving settlement checks in the mail over the next few weeks, the Arizona Attorney General's Office announced Friday.

"Eligible consumers either will receive a $98 check if they were not on their most economical rate plan or varying restitution if they were impacted by the 2017 letter. All consumers receiving restitution will also receive a letter from the Attorney General's Office confirming the settlement and that the checks are valid," the AG's office said in a media release.

Indiana hardware stores open 24-7, and dogs greet customers

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — In a year in which the pandemic has shifted more and more retail activity online, Indianapolis-based Trust Hardware has found success by embracing a brick-and-mortar approach.

It’s all part of owner Adam Taylor’s strategy of building what he calls an “Amazon-proof” business.

“You need things that are completely unique and different, that you can’t replicate online,” he said.

Cabot businesses' 'sign war' sparks laughs with shops owners and customers | KARK

Mean Pig BBQ general manager Chad Merritt kicked off the exchange with “1 2 3 4 We declare a sign war” outside of his eatery.

Avery Wilson, Managing Partner with Sonic, replied with, “5 6 7 8 We are down to participate” on the sign at his shop.

The managers had no idea it was going to blow up the way it did. What started with a simple "1, 2, 3" quickly picked up steam.

The "Home of the Shut-Up Juice" targeted the drive-in, aiming their first burn with the message “Don’t whine when y’all get smoked.”

B.R.S. keeps steady business flowing for customers | Produce News

Despite the ups and downs of the past year, Philadelphia's B.R.S. Produce has been able to keep a steady business flowing for customers. "We've been able to maintain the same people and the same space," said Rick Milavsky, B.R.S. president.
