(AP) - Carnival Corp. said Thursday that a data breach in March might have exposed personal information about customers and employees on Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line and Princess Cruises.
In a letter to customers, the company indicated that outsiders might have gained access to Social Security numbers, passport numbers, dates of birth, addresses and health information of people.

Ford has two electric vehicles in the pipeline — the E-Transit cargo van and F-150 Lighting Pro —aimed at commercial customers. Now, the automaker is rounding out its future EV commercial business with the acquisition of battery management and fleet monitoring software startup Electriphi.
Terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed. Ford is betting that the software developed by the three-year-old San Francisco startup will help it capture more than $1 billion in revenue just from charging by 2030. Ford Pro has financial ambitions beyond charging. The business unit said it expects to generate $45 billion in revenue from hardware and adjacent and new services by 2025 — up from $27 billion in 2019.

ROCHESTER, NY (WXXI) – Wegmans is notifying customers that some of their information may have exposed due to a database problem.
Wegmans recently notified customers that two databases used for the company's internal business purposes were inadvertently left open to potential outside access.
The supermarket chain says that it confirmed the problem around April 19, 2021, but they say the configuration issue, as it's called, actually began in 2018.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, auto insurers have returned more than $18 billion in premiums to address the drastic reduction in driving. It turns out all that extra money didn’t make consumers any happier, if they even knew about it at all.
Overall customer satisfaction with insurers is flat after four years of steady improvement, according to the J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Auto Insurance Study.
Better marketing arguably could have made a world of difference. Approximately 52 percent of auto insurance customers were aware that their insurer gave back premiums due to pandemic-related driving slowdowns. For customers who knew about those efforts, brand impressions were much higher, the study found.

The supermarket reported a 0.5% rise in sales in established UK stores in the 13 weeks to 29 May, down from an 8.8% rise in the previous quarter.
Underlying sales across the group, which also operates stores in Europe as well as the Booker grocery wholesaler, rose 1% to £13.4bn.
Tesco's finance director, Imran Nawaz, said the company anticipated sales would fall by a "few percent" in the year ahead as restrictions on dining out and travelling were removed.
Collection days changing for some City of Salina Sanitation customers
Customers of City of Salina Sanitation will need to check their collection date as the automated waste collection system will will cause some changes to the route map.
In general, the new sanitation collection route map divides the City's routes by day moving from west to east. Monday collection for the far west side of town, and Friday for the northern and far east side.
The city said with the new collection days some customers may see a gap 10 or more days from their current collection day to their new one.

Evergy will take control of some KC-area customers' thermostats as temps approach 100
Evergy plans to enact its Energy Savings Events program between 4-6 p.m. Thursday, to reduce demand on the grid as temperatures hover around 100. Participating customers enrolled in the program will have their thermostats remotely controlled by the utility between those hours. Evergy said it anticipated taking control of some customers’ thermostats between 4 and 6 p.m. on Thursday in order to reduce demand on the local energy grid.
