Kroger CEO says customers are ‘rethinking their shopping’ habits – RetailWire

Kroger is finding that grocery shoppers are trading down and shifting to store brands as U.S. inflation hits a four-decade high, and seeing a particular shift from lower-income households.

He added, "While customers continue to cook more, we are seeing different shopping behaviors based on how individual customers are experiencing the current inflationary environment.

We Energies, WPS restore power to nearly all Wisconsin customers

In total, more than 175,000 customers lost power Wednesday, and most WPS and We Energies customers had power restored by Thursday.

WPS had estimated power would be restored to remaining customers by the end of Saturday, while We Energies estimated Sunday afternoon.

Bill Pusateri Customers Wish They’d Seen Red Flag – NBC Boston

Dave Mack said he was a little caught off guard when Bill Pusateri showed up out of the blue in April at his home in Framingham, Massachusetts.

Inflation impacting businesses, customers

BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - At Quality Poultry and Seafood in Biloxi, inflation has become a major problem.

The price increase has hit the business hard. They're now paying more as seafood prices are up 33%.

'It has affected me the most at the gas tank," said Angela Nowley. "My six-cylinder car takes $80 to fill up. Imagine that amount of money you're spending and you're a middle-class family with kids, sports, and a husband."

Breach costs – reputation, loss of customers, fines, suspension of business

According to IBM's Cost of a Data Breach report In 2021, data breach costs rose from $3.86 million to $4.24 million, exhibiting the highest average total cost in the 17-year history of their report.

A new report from the Department for Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS) has revealed that data breaches have become more costly for medium and large businesses in the UK.  The report shows how medium-sized and large firms lost an average of £19,400 in 2021.

Mandarin nail salon suddenly closes, customers concerned about prepaid accounts

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A local business closed its doors leaving customers with questions about how they will get their prepaid money back. Prose Nails Mandarin Boutique closed, but still owes hundreds of dollars in services.

News4JAX talked with one of the owners who said he is working to refund customers. Stephen Hixon said his business couldn't recover from the pandemic, but he plans to refund customers the money they paid for services they never got.
