Cops N Kids celebrates 25th year shopping with local kids

The families taking part in Cops N Kids are in the Richland County Children Service's Kinship program, with many raised by their grandparents or relatives, said Mike Bammann, FOP Lodge 32 president and a retired Mansfield police officer.

Children were separated into three tiers — $100 for kids in preschool through fourth grade, $125 for kids in fifth through eighth grade and $150 for kids in ninth through 12th grade — and paired with one of the 50 to 60 volunteers, many lodge members or friends and family of members, representing

Making back to school shopping easy with backpack giveaway

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — It's time to start thinking about going back to school, with the beginning of the fall term right around the corner.

So National Grid decided to try and make it easier for parents struggling to pay for back to school shopping.

Raffle to benefit teachers at shopping event

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - A shopping event in Lawton on Saturday supported teachers in the area. Joel McFarland, who co-coordinates the We Love Teachers Shopping Event, said this is their fourth year of having it.

People were able to come and shop the different vendors that came out. He said teachers benefit from this event through raffle tickets that are sold. The money from the raffle goes to buying gift cards for teachers, so they can buy the supplies they need.
