Macy's 5 million new customers as omni-channel turnaround plan shows clear signs of progress

So says Macy's CEO Jeff Gennette, reiterating a thesis that's underpinned the iconic US retailer's Polaris turnaround strategy.

Macy's reported net income of $345 million for the quarter to 31 July, against to a loss of $431 million in the year-ago period Operating income was $597 million versus an operating loss of $631 million in the 2020 quarter. Sales rose to $5.65 billion, up from $3.56 billion in the year-ago period.

Consumer News: T-Mobile reports more customers impacted by hack, Toys "R" Us getting

CNN– The newly names host of Jeopardy, Mike Richards announced Friday he is stepping down “effective immediately,” just a week after he was named to the post. Richards announced his decision in a note sent to Jeopardy staff and obtained by ABC News.

A massive hack at T-Mobile is growing. The carrier now says 5.3 million more customers had data stolen. That’s in addition to the 7.8 million impacted in a hack earlier this week.

Taxidermist bags hundreds of customers

PG&E restores power to all customers in Sonoma, Mendocino, Napa counties after planned

Pacific Gas & Electric Co.

The preemptive power shutdown began Tuesday evening and was aimed at reducing the risk of PG&E's equipment sparking wildfires as meteorologists predicted hefty wind gusts and low humidity earlier this week.

PG&E shut off power for 1,800 customers in Sonoma County, 154 in Mendocino County and 6,849 in Napa County.

Whitmer urges Michigan power companies to credit customers for outages, pay for tree trimming

After another massive power outage event in Michigan this month, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is calling on the state's utilities to help families and to take action to prevent future events.

In a letter to the CEOs of DTE Energy, Consumers Energy, and Indiana Michigan Power, Gov. Whitmer calls for utility companies to automatically credit residents who experienced power outages and to increase the amount paid out.
