AWS Marketplace professional services gain momentum

The number of AWS Marketplace professional services listings has grown five times in less than a year, with partners citing fast time-to-contract and flexible pricing among the platform's benefits.

AWS opened its marketplace to professional services in December 2020 with 280 public listings from 106 sellers. Ten months later, the AWS Marketplace public catalog features 1,408 professional services category listings from 369 sellers, according to AWS.

Modular Framework laptop gets a marketplace for all those modules - The Verge

Framework, makers of the modular 13.5-inch Framework laptop that's designed to be easily repaired and upgraded, has launched a dedicated marketplace filled with replacement parts and upgrades for its portable computer.

It's an important step for the modular laptop, which has been shipping for a little over two months. After all, the laptop's 10/10 iFixit score for repairability doesn't matter much if you can't get a spare part when a component fails.

Outschool’s after-school enrichment marketplace is now valued at $3 billion –

In the last 12 months, Outschool , a marketplace for kid-friendly enrichment classes, has raised its Series B , Series C and, now, it’s Series D.

The fast infusion of capital was in response to the virtual programming demands triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic. Outschool today is offering over 140,000 virtual, small-group classes to students between the ages of 3 and 18.

Coinbase Exchange launches its NFT Marketplace

San Francisco-based digital asset trading platform Coinbase has announced the launch of its Non-Fungible Token (NFT) marketplace aimed at empowering digital artists and promoting widespread adoption of the NFT metaverse.

SuccessFactors expands internal talent marketplace concept

Internal talent marketplaces arrived to make it easier for employees to develop new skills and opportunities and for employers to improve retention. The concept has given rise to an active start-up vendor market.

This week, SAP SuccessFactors said it is taking the internal talent marketplace in a new direction with a broader offering, what it calls an "Opportunity Marketplace." The new product was announced at the firm's SuccessConnect conference this week.

Consumers are getting used to higher inflation - Marketplace

Another day in this pandemic-wracked economy, another installment of “inflation through the roof.”

The latest reading on consumer prices came out today — up year over year for the month of September by 5.4%, which is just a smidge higher than inflation was running in August. The core rate — stripping out food and energy, which were really soaring in September — was up 4% year over year.
