Where's Your Marketing Dollar Best Spent? It's Not Social Media, Email Or TV

When I started my garage door company, my mum was my customer service representative (CSR) for some time. And here's what happened...

Whenever she got on the phone and answered customers, she would call them "honey" and tell them all about me: "I have the best technician, his name is Tommy..." (She never told them that I was her son.)

As we begin 2023, it's a good time to reflect on the macro-level trends we've observed last year.

Here are a few trends that I believe have some staying power and should be considered as you build out your 2023 search marketing strategies.

How Can Marketing Companies Thrive In A Global Crisis?

As the CEO of a communications agency, I've found that marketing, specifically, is often the first line item to be crossed off as budgets become tighter and anxiety prevails over more strategic thinking.

Why Mobile Marketing Is Growing So Fast

It's hardly news that mobile phones and other devices are more and more widely used each year. Many businesses, however, still haven't caught on to another, related trend: the massive growth of mobile marketing.

People take their mobile devices everywhere. Marketers have a captive audience with smartphone owners, who seldom go anywhere without their devices. Mobile marketing is the perfect way to communicate time-sensitive offers such as upcoming events, flash sales and in-store promotions.

This day in search marketing history: January 10

In 2012, Google’s search results were radically transformed as a new "Search Plus Your World" format began rolling out.

Google started mixing together content from the web with content that had been shared with you privately into a single set of listings.

From time immemorial, businesses have tried to answer these questions. They've turned to market metrics, consumer interest surveys and strategic marketing campaigns in an effort to cultivate a loyal customer base and robust brand recognition.

How To Improve ROI For Your Marketing Efforts With AI

As business people, we are always very focused on data and return on investments. We would like for all of our investments to make money immediately, but the reality is, some things take time to accomplish.

One area where this is significant is content marketing. We've all heard that "content is king," but it's still difficult to find an ROI on business content creation.

LEAD — About $10,000 that once paid for billboards advertising the city of Lead can and should be re-directed toward digital marketing efforts to promote tourism, Lead City Commissioner Kayla Klein said.

3 Keys to Success With Account-Based Marketing in 2023

After years of fits and starts, account-based marketing (ABM) is poised for a breakout 2023. The simple yet powerful premise of ABM is tailor-made for tight economic times: You focus marketing spend only on the biggest accounts and juiciest sales opportunities.

Without doubt, the C-suite's embrace of ABM is a welcomed development for chief marketing officers who have already hired marketers with ABM skills, stood up the right ABM tech platforms and established air-tight process discipline between marketing and sales.
