The MTA Is Reviving a Classic Broadway Ad Campaign

The ads re-create an image and revive the tagline from a well-remembered 1977 ad that announced the subway was "the only sure way to make it to Broadway" and featured the likes of Eartha Kitt, Carol Channing, and characters from Grease and Annie .

"The original came out at a time when Times Square was kind of an unsavory place to visit and was done to encourage people to see a show," said Nick Pramik, a managing partner at RPM who rebooted the campaign alongside creative director Steven Tartick.

NYC launches $6M tourism ad campaign with British Airways

City Hall is putting $6 million toward a media campaign to bring tourism back to New York now that the United States lifted its COVID-19 restrictions  on foreign visitors, officials announced Tuesday.

Part of that effort is a new "It's time for New York City" tourism campaign, formed in partnership with British Airways, which includes billboards being installed in the UK to promote eight daily flights to Gotham, said Fred Dixon, head of NYC & Company, an organization that promotes tourism

Stanford denounces right-wing advertisement campaign attacking professor | The Stanford Daily

The University denounced a paid advertisement campaign accusing associate political science professor Hakeem Jefferson of being one of "Stanford's most racist professors" on Monday.

The advertisement, which has since been removed by Facebook, was run by the account "Most Racist Colleges and Universities" and sponsored by the David Horowitz Freedom Center.
