Letter: Central Hudson customers don’t have to take it anymore – Daily Freeman

Central Hudson is working hard to become the Enron of utility companies. Their latest scam against customers is to “estimate” an artificially low usage when delivery costs are low, followed by the “actual” usage when delivery costs are high.

When to listen to your customers and when not to?

Customer centricity has become a buzzword these days. It is so much talked about in business circles and beyond that I wonder how did we get so far without exhibiting customer centricity? Is it a realisation, or a claim, or plain fizz?

But if you analyse the success of such companies, you would notice a paradox. While customers love their products and services, the companies don't necessarily start with the customer when it comes to designing those loyalty espousing offerings.

Solution pitched to CenturyLink may overlook Essex customers | Daily Inter Lake

The Commission recommended that an eligible customer be defined as a customer that is located within a rate center that is served by an Anaconda carrier system, which begs the question: What exactly is an Anaconda carrier system?

"There are few things out there that are older than me, but I'm pretty sure Anaconda phone systems are one of them," Feiss explained. "If you have never heard of them, don't worry, nobody has. It's an ancient system with network hardware that nobody uses anymore and parts are not available."

Why it pays to listen to B2B customers - CEOWORLD magazine

Often used to undercover early warning signs of customer dissatisfaction, we find VOC research can be used beyond risk mitigation to guide meaningful change such as improved positioning and brand strategy, product enhancements, and even surprising new market opportunities.

VOC research methodology comes in many forms, and is typically more intensive than standard quantitive surveys because of the high-touch aspect, analysis, and follow up required. One-on-one interviews run by a skilled interviewer are the gold standard (for those that have the budget).

Customers, staff reflect on closing of 'landmark' Rotmans furniture store in Worcester

For more than 40 years, a large sign reading "ROTMANS" on a sprawling red-brick building defined a stretch of Interstate 290 in Worcester, inviting people to one of the largest furniture stores in New England.

Rotmans announced in October that it is closing because its CEO and president, Steve Rotman, is retiring. Since then, the local business has been holding a liquidation sale that includes $20 million worth of furniture, mattresses and rugs.
