N.J. moving company ripped off customers, held their items for months, feds say - nj.com

The Abuawad brothers, who owned 11Even Movers & Storage, got connected to customers through a household goods broker that provided estimates.

When representatives of 11Even Movers arrived at residences and had the customers' goods packed onto trucks, the movers would then substantially hike the cost of the move — often giving a new price that was at least 50% more than what was first agreed upon, prosecutors said.

McDonald's forced to ration customers' fries in Japan | Ad Age

McDonald’s Holdings Co. Japan will only offer french fries in small sizes from Friday through next week after flooding at a Vancouver port and the coronavirus pandemic have cut off supplies of one of its key offerings.

While the fast-food chain is trying to address the problem with alternative flights and is cooperating with suppliers and importers, it will only offer small-size french fries through Dec. 30.

PNM warns customers about aggressive phone scams during holidays

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – PNM is warning customers throughout New Mexico to be on the lookout for phone scams during the week of Christmas.

PNM is receiving reports that scammers are adding a false PNM caller ID or are adding a false 505 prefix on their phone number to get you to answer, duping you into thinking it is legitimate.
