Wildroots coffee truck is opening a storefront in South End - Axios Charlotte

Why it matters: Owner Jasmine Koch opened Wildroots just before the pandemic. She managed to grow a cult following during a time when many small businesses had to close.

What to expect: The coffee shop will have a more expansive menu than the coffee truck. Expect the same iced latte pouches and hot coffees you love, with more pour overs, teas and other coffee options on the permanent menu.

Bea Sweet Treats opens bakery in Newburgh

NEWBURGH, Ind. -- Four generations of Stephanie Post and her daughter Ashley Corbetta's family have been bakers, and now a fifth is growing up in the bakery, too.

Post and Corbetta have been baking professionally under the Bea Sweet Treats name since early 2020, but the store is only three weeks old (and Ashley's new baby is five weeks old, so she's obviously got it together.)
