The new location-based shopping option practically integrates Maps straight into the Shopping tab. It works similarly to the way you can locate stores by typing, for instance, "McDonalds nearby." The only difference is now you'll see tagged locations for products, not just stores.

Deemed "10.10" to mirror China's Singles' Day, the largest retailing holiday which takes place on Nov. 11 (or "11.11"), the new event comes as an effort to help aid and revive a retail sector heavily devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Bloomberg reports that over two dozen major retailers have already signed on, with rewards app Shopkick Inc. stepping in as both a partner and sale hub of all brands participating in the event.

The pandemic is changing our grocery shopping habits in surprising ways - MarylandReporter.com
Safe shopping – Prior to Covid-19, our worst grocery store scenarios involved running into annoying former associates. While this was minor, we are now more cautious than ever about how we interact in the store. Visiting crowded spaces increases our chances of becoming infected with Covid-19.
Grocery delivery – Before the onset of the pandemic, grocery delivery was seemingly one of the most difficult e-commerce ventures to get right. Despite numerous attempts, no company has appeared to make grocery delivery a staple as much as buying books or apparel. However, the pandemic has changed much of this, and consumers and entrepreneurs alike are once again looking towards grocery delivery as both necessary and feasible.
