“It all started out in Iceland back in 1873 when a volcano erupted and covered the land in so much soot that they couldn’t even feed the animals,” said Johanneson. “That’s when my great-grandparents migrated to Manitoba and northeast North Dakota.”

Comscore/Screen Engine PostTrak exits went up to 80% and a 65% definite recommend, the latter a tad higher than Dunkirk at 63%. That’s very good for word of mouth. Law in the Marketplace: Can you avoid duties under contract because of pandemic?
There are three main New Hampshire contractual doctrines that you, as a New Hampshire business owner, may be able to rely upon to lawfully avoid obligations under existing commercial contracts to which you are a party. These are the doctrines of "force majeure" (a French phase meaning "greater force"); frustration of purpose; and impracticability.
A force majeure provision in a contract is one which excuses one or more parties' performance of their contractual obligations when circumstances arise that are beyond the parties' control and that make performance of these obligations impractical or impossible. Netflix CEO Reed Hastings on what keeps him up at night - Marketplace
Kai Ryssdal: I read somewhere as I was preparing for this talk that you have said you knew back in like 1996-97, in the days of red envelopes and DVDs going out, you knew that this is where this company was going to wind up — delivering nonlinear television or content over the internet. Is that true?
Reed Hastings: How lucky can one person get? In 1986, I got a job serving coffee as a first job in a computer company. And it happened to be the very first dot com ever. And so yes, we knew and DVD was a temporary option for us, and it worked very well.

COVID-19 cases in Nova Scotia are in the single digits, but Andy Gillis still hasn't seen his 85-year-old mother in three months. While regulations around visits to nursing homes have loosened, staff shortages have made it difficult to co-ordinate more frequent visits. "As time has gone by and the cases have dropped, the amount of harm being done both emotionally and physically to people in these homes is outweighing the benefit," said Gillis. Read more
How lucrative are political tell-alls? - Marketplace
Since President Donald Trump's entrance into office, several journalists, associates, and even family members have published political exposes about the current president. They include "Fire and Fury" by Michael Wolff; "Fear" by Bob Woodward; "The Room Where It Happened," by John Bolton; "Too Much and Never Enough" by Trump's niece Mary L. Trump, and more recently, "Disloyal" by Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen.
Many of these books have been a commercial success, with publishers competing with one another to obtain the rights and authors earning millions in deals.
