REDWOOD CITY — Cannabis connoisseurs who have long fretted over the veritable dispensary desert on the Peninsula could soon find an oasis in Redwood City.
Ever since cannabis was legalized for recreational use back in 2016, no Peninsula city has gone the way of San Jose, San Francisco and Oakland in allowing storefronts to open up. There are several delivery services across the Peninsula, but Redwood City is the first to seriously consider cannabis clubs to open.

Fields Corner renegade art space Dorchester Art Project is officially expanding their space from their second-floor loft at 1486 Dorchester Ave to include a first-floor storefront in the same building. The plan was announced on Dorchester Art Project's Facebook page earlier last week.
"It's totally wild," says Sam Potrykus of DAP. "The space has been vacant for a long while. But once COVID happened, we negotiated a deal with the landlord, and he gave us an opportunity to grow the business."
Galaxy's Edge Merch Takes Over Downtown Disney Storefront | Inside the Magic
On Tuesday, Downtown Disney Guests noticed a big change at one of the Disney storefronts. The WonderGround Gallery — known for selling Disney artwork — was replaced with a space entirely dedicated to selling Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge merchandise.
The WonderGround Gallery sign has been covered up with Batuu-style fabric, and small “Star Wars Trading Post” signs have been placed in the windows.
Within the store, Guests can shop for merchandise typically found at Galaxy’s Edge , from clothing to plush toys to lightsabers and even kyber crystals. These items were only sold at Black Spire Outpost before, so the fact that they can now be purchased outside of Disneyland park is a huge deal for Galaxy’s Edge fans in southern California, or those who have really been missing Batuu.
