Netflix Launches Ad Campaign Spotlighting Out-of-Work Crewmembers (Exclusive) | Hollywood Reporter

Netflix is launching a new advertising campaign that shines a light on the industry’s hardest-hit workers.

The streaming service is rolling out new ads around Los Angeles on Tuesday morning that spotlight crewmembers from its various shows and films. The spots run May 19-31 in various locations around Los Angeles county, including 17 billboards and more than 100 bus shelters. The ads will include faces and names of select crewmembers, along with a hopeful message: “You will work in this town again.”

Ford signals a return to auto production in a new ad campaign

Ford Motor is out with a new ad campaign, highlighting the company's work building equipment for health-care workers and indicating that's is ready to resume auto production.

Three new ad spots, which share the "Built for America" message, show the automaker developing medical supplies, including respirators and ventilators. The company is readying for a phased restart to North American vehicle production on Monday after its plants were shuttered in late March due to the coronavirus.

The $1.3 billion total, which includes TV and radio advertising as well as digital spending across Facebook and Google brands, comes to us via the latest Ad Age Campaign Ad Scorecard analysis—an ongoing project led by Ad Age Datacenter Director of Data Management Kevin Brown in partnership with Kantar/CMAG. The figure tracks spending from Jan. 1, 2019, through Election Day 2020, including any advance purchases of ad space that had been booked by May 11.
