BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WBNG) -- NYSEG is working to restore power in the area after the severe thunderstorms on Friday.
NYSEG says that while they are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible, there are some customers in Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Greene, Herkimer, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Otsego, Schoharie and Ulster counties that may not have their power back until early Sunday morning.
The company says that crews will continue to work through the night until every customer's power is restored.

BOSTON – Eversource is reminding its customers to remain vigilant and protect themselves against scams during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The utility company said that the virus outbreak has led to an increase in scam activity, with scammers finding unique and intimidating ways to exploit people and steal their money during these uncertain times.
"We're always working to help our customers protect themselves against scams, which is especially important today as sophisticated scammers are trying to take advantage of the uncertainty and nervousness caused by the COVID-19 pandemic," said Eversource Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer Penni Conner.
Restaurants and barbershops welcome back customers as state reopens
Hair fell to the floor in barbershops and customers filed into restaurants, eating at tables Friday as Ohio took the first steps in returning to normalcy after state-ordered closures.
Business as usual came to an abrupt halt when Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton began to issue orders in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, which included the closure of businesses deemed nonessential in mid-March. For many within the restaurant and barbershop industry, this meant months of uncertainty.

Roanoke Farmers Market was filled with customers after reopening
ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7)-- This is the first weekend where shops and restaurants are open at half capacity. And that means more people shopping in the downtown Roanoke Farmers Market.
The Roanoke Farmers Market was packed on Saturday with customers shopping and enjoying the warm weather. One customer said this was her first time back at the market since the pandemic hit.
"We love to come out to the Farmers Market, we came out all last year, and then the coronavirus put a stop to it, and so, we're glad to be back, we love to come out here and look at stuff!" customer Kaylon Johnson said.

Coronavirus Mississippi: Customers slowly return to Jackson businesses
Jackson business owners on Saturday returned to their barber shops, gyms and restaurants, many for the first in time in over a month.
They were joined by an excited public that has been under strict stay-at-home orders for the same amount of time, having limited their travel to businesses deemed essential, such as grocery and home improvement stores.
John Hudson, a heavy equipment operator from Brandon, and his son, Chase Hudson, were among the first customers to make an appointment early Saturday morning at Great Scott, a clothing, tailor and barber shop on Old Canton Road in Jackson.

On Friday, some areas of Maryland began to relax coronavirus restrictions after nearly two months, but with limitations.
Ridia Dearie had people calling her immediately after Gov. Larry Hogan’s announcement saying some businesses could reopen after lifting the stay-at-home order for the coronavirus pandemic.

Her shop, The Vine on Main in Sykesville , opened Friday evening for outside wine- drinking on the patio. They are allowing five people into the store at a time to buy wine, beer and gifts and are also offering snowballs and wine slushies.
