Biden campaign taps ad agency for voter education during coronavirus - Axios

The Biden campaign has brought on the progressive advertising firm Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI) to run a new mobilization advertising program online that is uniquely focused on educating interested voters with ways to cast ballots amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Why it matters: In a normal election, the campaign would focus its advertising efforts on persuading voters in the weeks leading up to the election. But the Biden campaign faces a different challenge: it needs to mobilize voters that want to vote about how to do so during COVID-19, requiring more advertising expertise and resources.

North Carolina's insane campaign ad windfall by the numbers | Ad Age

Sen. Thom Tillis, a North Carolina Republican, speaks at a rally in Charlotte with President Donald Trump.

From a political perspective, the U.S.A. isn't really the U.S.A. at the moment—and not just because that whole "United" thing isn't really flying circa 2020. Rather, if you consider what the two major political parties care about this fall, the country is more like S.S.A.A.O.: Swing States and Assorted Others. Or maybe just N.C.A.T.R.: North Carolina and the Rest.

The campaign will focus on the 'hands, face, space' slogan - urging the public to wash their hands, cover their face and create space to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The campaign will involve print, online and TV advertising and will include a new video to show "exactly how coronavirus spreads indoors."

Ministers fear that with people expected to spend more time indoors during the winter, an increase in infections could follow.
