Danske Bank to compensate more customers for over-charging - Reuters
COPENHAGEN (Reuters) - Danske Bank ( DANSKE.CO ) will pay out a total of up to 100 million Danish crowns ($16 million) in compensation to 900 customers after over-charging them for an investment product, it said on Friday, in the latest scandal to hit the Danish bank.
The overcharging, which relates to an investment product called Danske Portefoljepleje between February 2017 and July 2018, was discovered after review of a similar case, Denmark’s biggest bank said.

WASHINGTON — Wells Fargo & Co. agreed to pay $2.12 million in fines and restitution to settle U.S. regulatory charges its brokers failed to properly account for the costs of switching customers who owned variable annuities to new investments.
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) said Wells Fargo failed to supervise the suitability of recommendations that customers sell variable annuities carrying "surrender" fees, and use proceeds to buy mutual funds and unit investment trusts carrying upfront sales charges.

PG&E is urging customers to conserve energy during afternoons and evenings over the three-day Labor Day weekend, according to a release from the utility. The state's grid operator has issued a Flex Alert, based on a forecast of increased power demand due to expected high temperatures.
Customers are asked to reduce their energy use from 3-9 p.m. each day, Saturday through Monday. By doing so, customers can help make sure the state has enough supply to meet the demand for electricity.

An estimated 100 people have reported receiving fake communication purporting to be from Lloyds, which is one of the largest banks in England and Wales.
In the SMS version of the scam, people received a text attempting to entice them into visiting the same fraudulent site. It says: “ALERT FROM LLOYDS: New device attempted to set up a payee to XXX. If this was NOT you, visit: Lloyds[Dot]bank[Dot]unusual-login[Dot]com.”
Cal Water provides nearly $500,000 in COVID-19 related relief for customers
Along with its subsidiaries in California, Hawaii, New Mexico, and Washington, Cal Water finalized donations on Wednesday of nearly $500,000 to customers and community organizations impacted by the coronavirus crisis.
The coronavirus-related fund will help provide relief to customers who lost their jobs or were hit hard financially by the pandemic. Cal Water will forgive a portion of customers' past-due water bills for those who fell behind on payments during the pandemic.
