Compared to a commercial shopping cart you'd find in a grocery store, the types of shopping carts we will be exploring in this article are smaller two- or four-wheel models that more closely resemble a stroller.
While these smaller models can be used to transport purchases made at a store, they can also be handy for picnics or when you are moving items about your house or garage.
The most important consideration you will have before purchasing a shopping cart is knowing what you will use it for. For instance, a model that could help you get a few groceries home from a neighborhood convenience store might not be rugged enough to transport cases of water from your car to the soccer field.

That would follow flat sales in April and a massive 10.7% jump in March, when many Americans received $1,400 stimulus checks that boosted spending. New consumer shopping trends emerging | Farm Progress
As we gather again with family and friends after COVID-19 lockdowns have been lifted, we are still somewhat constrained, according to Charlie Arnot, CEO of The Center for Food Integrity and president of Look East.
"There's an enormous pent-up demand out there to get together and go out to eat at restaurants and celebrate, but there's a lack of labor to supply kitchen and wait staff," Arnot explained. "As we ramp up again, we are noticing a lack of labor across the entire food system, whether it's a shortage of staff at restaurants or workers at meatpacking plants."

The Commerce Department on Tuesday reported that combined sales at stores, restaurants and online fell by 1.3% last month from April, a steeper drop than the 0.6% decline economists expected. The weakness was broad-based, with sales declining at auto dealers, hardware stores, furniture sellers and general merchandise stores, among others. Sales at restaurants and bars bucked the trend, rising 1.8%, but given the easing of the Covid-19 crisis, one might have hoped for more.
