The demand for get-togethers at restaurants, stays at trendy hotels, and shopping at brick-and-mortar retailers will only get hotter as 2021 continues. In fact, a recent survey by Morning Consult found that 72% of consumers said they think they’ll be comfortable dining out within six months.

As we look to move forward, we must remember that trust is still fundamental in customer relationships. Businesses of all sizes and across industries need to take a long-term view in this moment because it creates an opportunity to solidify relationships and trust with customers as well as employees. We’re still in a period of uncertainty, therefore, it’s critical to instill and maintain trust with your customers.

(NEXSTAR) – Consumer experts say there’s a recent trend among retailers trying to offset increased costs. It’s nicknamed “shrinkflation,” and it means that some companies are charging the same amount for a product in a smaller package.

Experts told the Post that “shrinkflation” affects everything from paper towels to diapers and potato chips. They say it will become more pronounced as inflation increases across the U.S.

Challenges persist for some DMV customers in Virginia as more appointments open up | WFXRtv

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — In Virginia, the Department of Motor Vehicles’ (DMV) customer service centers and mobile operations teams continue to operate by appointment only . But several local residents have reported challenges with making appointments, which become available each day through a 90-day period.

One such resident is Terrie Scherer. She reported to WFXR’s sister station that she visited the DMV location on West Broad Street on Tuesday, June 1 to pick up a form for a change of address request, and was surprise to see an estimated one-third of the customer service representatives not working with customers.

Redfin Saves Customers Over $1 Billion in Real Estate Commissions | State News |

Spire extends energy assistance program for customers impacted by coronavirus | Business |

ST. LOUIS (June 2, 2021) —Spire is extending the application deadline for its Missouri assistance program that helps residential customers who are financially impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

Missouri residential customers with past-due balances who have been furloughed or experienced job or income loss due to the pandemic have until June 30 to receive up to $400 i toward their natural gas bill. The program was originally scheduled to end on March 31. However, with approval from the Missouri Public Service Commission, the natural gas provider has twice extended the deadline to help more customers. Nearly, 5,500 customers are currently enrolled in the program.

Cloud at Work makes $1.5 million available to Sage customers | Accounting Today

Cloud at Work, which provides cloud hosting for Sage products, has debuted its Partner Development Fund, making a total of $1.5 million available for Sage users to spend exclusively with their Sage Business Partner of Record once they choose Cloud at Work to host their applications.

Chula Vista set to launch app to help small business, reward customers | FOX 5 San Diego

Businesses like Chula Vista Brewery, where owner Timothy Parker has fought hard to stay afloat during the pandemic.

There's relief on the way as restrictions are lifted and the City of Chula Vista is turning to technology to drive more customers to small businesses.

The city is developing a new mobile app called Choose Chula. It's designed to boost local small businesses and reward their customers at the same time.

Consumers Energy customers could see change in electricity bills as summer peak pricing begins |

A new summer pricing program for Consumers Energy customers is now in effect. It's an attempt to shift demand for electricity at peak times.

From 2 to 7 p.m. on weekdays, electricity will cost 50% more – or about $0.15 per kilowatt hour – for residential customers. That's up from $0.10 per kilowatt hour Consumers charges during non-peak hours. That's the same rate charged during rest of the year. Consumers says that could mean a roughly $2 increase on most monthly bills.
