HENDERSON, Ky. – Henderson Municipal Power & Light customers were commended for their response Thursday, June 10, when alerts went out within the power generation network about an emergency situation throughout the MidWest.
Heimgartner said that HMP&L was never short on power supply at any time during the emergency, but the Midwest as a whole was in a bind when "the load came up faster than what was forecast and there wasn't enough power generation to carry it."

“Currently 400,000 customers remain without service. It has already been resumed in several sectors of the San Juan metropolitan area,” the company said in a tweet.

When she went through the drive-through of her usual Starbucks in Atlanta three weeks ago, though, she was told they couldn't make the drink because they didn't have any peach-flavored juice. Shrugging it off, she drove to another store. And another. And another.
