Members who are disabled or immunocompromised are also welcome to shop during the special operating hours.

Costco launched the senior shopping hours in March, soon after the global outbreak of the novel coronavirus was declared a national emergency. The event began as a twice-weekly offering that was soon extended during the week from Monday to Friday.

Smart Appliance Ups Ante on Shopping From Home | Progressive Grocer

Smart kitchen appliance maker Thermomix has launched a Shoppable Recipes feature on Cookidoo, the company's integrated recipe and meal-planning ecosystem featuring more than 50,000 guided recipes. Using the Cookidoo app and website, Thermomix users can now order ingredients directly from a digital shopping list within the Cookidoo platform. Among the company's grocery partners in the endeavor are Amazon Fresh, Instacart and Albertsons Cos.

The intelligent technology integration pairs recipes with pre-matched ingredients for easy checkout, eliminating the drawn-out process of searching for the right ingredients via third-party grocery app. Thermomix's grocery order function removes common pantry items by default, so consumers can order only what they need. Users select their preferred local grocer, and Shoppable Recipes automatically generates a shopping list and has the items delivered.

Analysis: Pike Creek Shopping Center sticking with the basics - Delaware Business Now

The owners of the Pike Creek Shopping Center have given up on prospects for a replacement of the shuttered Kmart store or an overhaul that would combine housing and store.

Plans submitted to the New Castle County Department of Land Use call for a large portion of the former Kmart building to be demolished with a convenience store and an auto service center occupying that area of the center. Plans seem to indicate a gas station would be part of the project.
