Price promotions have many pluses for marketers, but there are also many downsides. Some of the downsides are incredibly brand debasing, including incremental image degradation. We now learn that one of the price promotion downsides is more personal in how it affects us, the customer: apparently, price promotions negatively change our attitudes and behaviors. A recent study now confirms what psychologists have known for a while: deals and sales tend to turn us into impatient rule-breakers.

ATLANTA, GA ( WGCL ) — Atlanta Gas Light wants citizens who may need financial assistance with their utility bills to know there are resources available for customers.
According to a press release, there are several programs for customers facing financial hardships as a result of COVID-19.
"We understand these are trying times for many of our customers and we are assessing the needs of our communities on an ongoing basis to make sure we're providing all the support we can," said Bryan Batson, president of Atlanta Gas Light.
Customers wear masks as business opens up
A new Dayton law mandating people wear masks or face coverings while inside businesses and public spaces took effect Friday and local businesses are giving mixed reviews about whether customers are following the rules.
“We work so hard to keep our restaurant a clean and safe environment, and part of that safety is requiring masks,” the Facebook posts says. “What you think about masks is irrelevant, but your respect and values for fellow citizens and local businesses is relevant.”

GREENVILLE, Pa. (WYTV) – Customers who are unhappy about a proposed 48% increase in their sewage bill gathered in Greenville.
Reynolds Disposal customers are angry that their bills may be going up that much.
About 25 people showed up at the Reynolds VFW to learn how to file a complaint with the Public Utilities Commission.

Duke Energy Progress customers in South Carolina will see a decrease in monthly bills beginning in July as part of an annual adjustment of the actual cost of fuel used to generate electricity at its power plants.

Ryanair will clear 90% of its backlog of cash refunds by the end of July for people who were unable to travel during lockdown.
It was heavily criticised, along with other airlines, for its failure to pay those entitled to a refund anytime close to the seven-day legal deadline.
Ryanair said it had made "significant progress" in clearing the backlog for those booked with the airline directly.
