Billionaire and Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg has hired some of the most popular accounts on Instagram to craft custom memes that make him more relatable to social media users.
It's the latest effort in the former New York City mayor's incredibly expensive political advertising strategy — on which he spends an unprecedented million dollars a day on Facebook ads alone. But based on the comments Bloomberg's recent sponsored posts on Instagram have been getting, things may not be going as planned.

Mike Bloomberg launches pro-black business ad campaign
Mike Bloomberg is rolling out a new television ad highlighting his work with black-owned businesses.
The ad, entitled "Cheryl," features construction firm owner Cheryl McKissack . McKissack highlights how her fifth generation family business had difficulties getting contracts the company needed to thrive and how Bloomberg, as Mayor of New York City, leveled the playing field for businesses like hers.
In the audio, Bloomberg can be heard saying the only way to keep guns out of the hands of minority youth is "to throw them up against the wall and frisk them."
Goodyear moves forward with new ad campaign
And where would a company like Goodyear brag about its connection to mobility? At a NASCAR race, of course.
The campaign, set to debut at the Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb. 16, with an ad titled "Breakout," uses Goodyear's Wingfoot logo as a symbol for forward motion, the company said in announcing the campaign on Friday, Feb. 14. In the ad, the logo is combined with a graffiti-style character, which Goodyear says is "moved by a passing Goodyear tire, giving it the power of the 'Wingfoot' to grow, evolve and transform."

And Mr. Steyer has gone negative, attacking Mr. Sanders of Vermont for failing to provide a price tag for his "Medicare for All" plan, calling former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. "another insider" and Mr. Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Ind., an "untested newcomer."
Universal introduces new ad campaign and discount deals
February 14, 2020, 2:34 PM · Universal Parks and Resorts introduced its new national ad campaign today, along with a couple of ticket discount deals for its theme parks at Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood.
"Universal's theme parks hold a special place in my heart and it's amazing to see how much they've grown since I worked here as a teenager," Thompson said in a statement released by the resort. Thompson's 30-second TV commercial will begin airing nationwide on Monday.
