Home Depot Credits New Ad Campaign With Mobile Growth 02/26/2020

Home Depot, powered by strong holiday sales and an effective new marketing campaign, says its fourth-quarter results beat expectations. And as it realizes more gains from its $11 billion investment in omnichannel efforts, it says it is on track for substantial sales gains in the coming year.

The Atlanta-based DIY powerhouse says comparable sales surged 5.2% in the fiscal fourth quarter, with a gain of 5.3% in the U.S. Total sales, however, eased 2.7% to $25.8 billion, down from $26.5 billion in the prior-year period. Online sales jumped by 21%. And net earnings advanced to $2.5 billion, from $2.3 billion.

OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma's new ad campaign solicits claims - CTInsider.com

Informing amyone with potential claims is a regular part of bankruptcy proceedings. Purdue’s nationwide campaign reflects feedback from a committee of creditors and other stakeholders and was approved last month by the federal bankruptcy judge overseeing the case in White Plains, N.Y.

“Purdue sees the launch of the noticing program as another important step in the company’s ongoing effort to achieve a global settlement, which would provide more than $10 billon of value to the American public to address the opioid crisis and speed delivery of resources and vital medicines to affected communities,” the Stamford-based company said in a statement.

Paris Women’s advocacy group HandsAway is out with a new print campaign from TBWA\Paris with the message that women can dress as fashionably or provocatively as they want and it’s not an invitation to be groped or otherwise sexually harassed.

Apple, IBM execs part of planned public service ad campaign for college alternatives | Education

News of the campaign was first reported by Inside Higher Ed , which noted that it was originally scheduled to debut in January 2020. The Ad Council spokesperson told Education Dive that it would launch "in coming weeks," though they did not address further questions about the scope, cost or distribution plans for the campaign.

The U.S. Department of Commerce included developing "a national campaign promoting multiple education and training pathways" on the advisory board's initial list of priorities .

Democratic super PAC launches $1 million ad campaign for Ernst challenger Theresa Greenfield |

Greenfield, the president of a real estate firm in the Des Moines suburb of Windsor Heights, is one of five Democrats running for their party’s nomination to challenge Republican Sen. Joni Ernst in the 2020 general election.

It’s basically a shorter version of Greenfield’s own " Worth Fighting For ," the almost three-minute-long video she released in June to announce her candidacy, although "Tough" doesn’t reference castration. (“Worth Fighting For” shows a clip of Ernst’s 2014 "Make ’em Squeal" commercial, before cutting to Greenfield standing next to a hog pen as she says, "Listen, folks, she didn't castrate anyone.
