Dollar General joins Windthorst community as shopping option
WINDTHORST (KFDX/KJTL) — Residents of Windthorst might have a quicker trip in the future when needing something from the store.
Dollar General had their grand opening Saturday morning to introduce themselves to the community, and if folks wanted to go get groceries from the nearest Walmart from Windthorst, it would take about 20 minutes just to get there.

San Jose: Man stabbed, beaten with bat at shopping center
SAN JOSE – Authorities are searching for a pair of suspects who allegedly stabbed and beat a man with a baseball bat at The Plant Shopping Center in San Jose late Thursday.
Officers were initially called to the 1000 block of South 12th Street about 10:50 p.m. for a report of a stabbing, said San Jose police Sgt. Enrique Garcia.

HOUSTON – An explosion Friday afternoon at a popular shopping center in the Galleria area send customers running.

A contractor doing demolition in an empty retail space said a fire broke out in the empty space. Construction workers tried to put the fire out and warned neighboring businesses.
Because there were propane tanks in the empty space, contractors ran to Flower Child restaurant and another restaurant to evacuate people.

Brazen thieves caught on video at local shopping center
DENHAM SPRINGS - A trio of shoplifters was caught on video stuffing beauty products into bags before fleeing a shopping center.
Cell phone video recorded by a witness shows the three cramming items from multiple shelves into shopping bags before rushing out the store. The shoplifters, one male and two females, all appeared to be wearing sunglasses and black hoodies.
