"I was only licensed to sell online, so I had to turn people away," Madsen said. "I always want to do what my customers want, so I decided to get all the city permits to sell directly from our bakery."
She has now opened her bakery for retail sales to the public. Her storefront is off the beaten path, but not too hard to find — across the street from the post office in Grantville. Just look for the pink storefront at 4760 Mission Gorge Place Suite G.

The Grass Valley Police Department is currently investigating a broken window, last seen intact on Dec. 5, belonging to Old Town Cafe in downtown Grass Valley.
The window was broken within 24 hours of Old Town Cafe's owner reporting literature left on her truck, identified by investigating officers as a "handmade sticker," Sgt. Clint Bates said.
Bates said the literature contained charged language, but said his department has not found a connection between the sticker and the broken window.

TUNKHANNOCK, Pa. — The owner of Nimble Hill Winery, Gary Toczko, got a phone call Wednesday morning he wasn't prepared to hear — a car had crashed through the front of his building.
"I'm like, 'What?' Toczko said. "It's like it was a dream, and I just couldn't comprehend it, so I pulled up the security cameras to see it."
In the video, an SUV is seen barreling through the parking lot of the winery in Tunkhannock and then through the area where the front door is. People who saw the crash quickly tried to help the driver of that SUV.

Garry Singh spoke to Defensive back Prince Washington of the Sac State football team about his food drive for the homeless in his hometown of Fresno, California during the early stages of the pandemic.
Prince Washington created a clothing brand and opened a storefront called King Kulture Clothing & Cuts in Fresno in September. Washington’s former football coach Damon Jenkins and childhood friend Justin Parker discuss the impact Washington has had in the community through philanthropic work and as a student athlete, business owner and rapper. Washington said if people feel inspired to do something good for their community, they should act and they don't have to wait.

The agency, though primarily focused on housing, provides numerous other community services. One of those is redistributing clothing to those in need.
It stopped accepting donated clothing until recently because it had run out of storage and needed the space for other purposes, said Jo Mora, director of fund development.
