Now, I don't mean you should take them out to a romantic dinner or buy them flowers or candy – even though they would probably like that. What I mean is, what special acts do you do to show your appreciation to the very people that, by way of their purchases, put food on your table and a roof over your head? Oh, you never thought of it that way. Well, you should.
Your customers make it possible for you to provide for your family. The least you should do is find a special way to show your appreciation. Maybe Valentine's Day is just the day for that.

Chamber Corner: Tell us how to win new, bring back old customers
FLASHBACK: March 10, 2020 - Massachusetts — along with other states in the country — enacted a statewide shut down as the COVID-19 pandemic spread. By March 23, all non-essential businesses were ordered closed. In April, the business closure was extended. In May of 2020 we saw the first plan of reopening in four phases: Start, Cautious, Vigilant and New Normal. As of Dec. 21, 2020, we are in Step 1, Phase 3, the 'Vigilant' phase.
LOOKING FORWARD: In December, vaccines made it to the state and there are three phases of distribution. Phases 1 and 2 vaccination includes essential workers, health care employees, elderly over 65, at-risk individuals, grocery store workers, manufacturing, and several other industries. Phase 3, which covers the general public, is not expected to begin until about April. This raises an important question: "Will you feel safe to go out when Massachusetts enters the 'new normal' phase?"

How small businesses can reach new customers | Better Business Bureau
If you're like most small business owners, you're always looking for ways to compete with the "big guys."
The good news is that, according to Nielsen.com, nearly half of all consumers would rather purchase a product locally than deal with a large corporation. Consumers often shop with the big box retailers because they perceive it as being more convenient or they may not know local businesses have what they need.
* * *
One good way to combat that perception is by using webinars. These are online presentations that bring local stores to online customers and help them solve whatever problem has led them to seek out a product or service offered by a local business.
