Heritage Creamery opens new storefront in Woodway | The Baylor Lariat

The new storefront will be located within ‘The Outlook at Bosque Ridge’ located at the corner of Highway 84 and Ritchie Road. Its goal is to open next month, just as the hot Texas summer hits.

“We will be among the first shops to open there and the first doing food service. It is going to be a pretty neat development with spaces for several restaurants, retail spaces, offices and a public amphitheater,” Scott Spain-Smith, the general manager of Heritage Creamery, said.

Charcuterie Vancouver set to open storefront in Kitsilano this summer | Dished

One of the city's top makers for custom graze tables, boards and charcuterie boxes is opening a brick-and-mortar shop.

Charcuterie Vancouver announced a storefront is officially in the works and it’s slated to open this summer.

The purveyor revealed the shop will be located at 2766 West 4th Avenue in Kitsilano, which is just a hop, skip, and a jump from the beach (picnics to-go, anyone?).

The company said they aim to offer customers who head into the shop the ability to make same-day orders as well as purchase their own supplies from local makers once it opens.

What Black Is This, You Say?

On Saturday, May 1st, 2021, Storefront for Art and Architecture launches What Black Is This, You Say? a year-long public artwork initiative by Amanda Williams that transforms the organization's facade. The project begins with collective painting sessions led by the artist on the first three Saturdays of May (May 1st, May 8th, and May 15th) from 2–6 pm at Storefront's gallery at 97 Kenmare Street.

Drawing upon her past work exploring color theory, Williams sought to bring attention to the plurality, complexity, and nuance of Black experience(s). Over the following five months, in order to challenge the black square as a monolithic representation, she posted 120+ shades or textures on Instagram – each with a corresponding caption. Together, they provide a rich palette of overlapping and divergent narratives and histories that inform Black identity.

Cannabis retailer a first in Canada with storefront at grow site | Strathroy Age Dispatch

"This is unique in Canada," says Robyn Rabinovich, Greybeard's vice president of strategic initiatives. "This is the first location where retailers can also have a production facility on site.

Greybeard's evolution tracks the development of wineries in Ontario: Wine production came first, followed by on-site retailing.

The roll-out at Greybeard represents a new level of co-operation involving Health Canada, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, and the Ontario Cannabis Store. Greybeard products will continue to be sold through the latter's website and affiliated shops across the province.

Newton Community Pride Fills Vacant Storefronts with Artwork — The Heights

A photograph of a vibrant red archway in Mexico next to a red "for rent" sign draws public attention in an otherwise empty Newtonville storefront window. As a part of a new public art initiative sponsored by Newton Community Pride, vacant Newton storefronts will display professional artwork in an effort to beautify the city.

"It’s a lovely opportunity to have shoppers and diners and pedestrians stumble across a beautiful piece of artwork, as opposed to brown paper cardboard or a for lease sign, so it makes a nice addition to our villages," Gloria Gavris, board chair of Newton Community Pride, said.

Q&A: Hip hop artist Frank Foota on balancing a music career with fashion design | The Latest

Anthony Franklin — better known by his hip-hop moniker, Frank Foota — is a born-and-raised New Orleanian who wears many hats as CEO of Anja & Francois, a streetwear clothing company, and as a producer and rapper. His ventures began in his childhood, under the guidance of his godfather, Slim of Cash Money Records, but these days he's making a name for himself on his own with the goal of opening a storefront.

Frank Foota : I try to compartmentalize … I've got to do something for my charity, or I've got to start designing some new clothes. And once I finish that, I just jump into working with any artists that I'm collaborating with and just juggle.

Sweet Melissa’s ice cream expands to sell pints in local storefronts, through regional food

ITHACA, N.Y. –– Sweet Melissa's, the longtime downtown soft-serve vendor, has turned its other ice cream specialty –– hard scoops –– into a full-blown professionally packaged product.

Four flavors in packaged pints with a new cassette tape logo (the design of which combines owner Melissa Kenny's love of ice cream and music ), will be available for purchase at Sweet Melissa's storefront at 200 W Seneca St, at Shortstop Deli or through Regional Access food distribution. Other local retailers also may start selling the product by purchasing through Regional Access.
