Missouri to begin $5M vaccination ad campaign

Missouri is preparing to launch a $5 million ad campaign to urge residents to get the coronavirus vaccine as appointment times begin to go unfilled in some places even though the state expanded eligibility to everyone age 16 or older.

Called Stronger Together, the campaign will begin next month and will provide vaccination information through radio, TV, print and social media messages.

"There is definitely misinformation, disinformation circulating," state health department spokeswoman Lisa Cox said. "I think the challenge is very similar to what we saw throughout the last year, making people aware of why these efforts are important and the impact they make and how the virus works and what it is going to take to get back to as close to normal as we feel we can get."

Vaccinators this week reported hundreds of openings for appointments around the state, despite the opening of eligibility. State data also shows that just 33.3% of residents had received at least one dose as of Thursday.

Nintendo's "No Politics" Ad Campaign, Explained | Screen Rant

Legendary Japanese video game company Nintendo frequently focuses its game design and marketing on bringing people together. In 2005, this meant ignoring political divisiveness and picking up a copy of Mario Party 5 for the Nintendo GameCube. Mario Party 5 released on November 10, 2003, just after the 2003 United States elections on November 4.

The Mario Party commercial starts with a crowd of reporters rapidly asking questions which are vaguely Mario-related, but some more typical of political interviewers than others. One reporter asks, " Will your brother be on your team? " after someone chimes in, " Sir, are you afraid of the gorilla? " The commercial doesn't exactly scream political advert, but the scene is all too familiar.

New ad campaign targets Senator Sinema and her future vote on Biden infrastructure plan

Coalition to Protect American Workers says the $3 trillion infrastructure plan is too expensive, and only 15% of the money goes to roads, bridges, and airports.

"We think you can be in favor of infrastructure spending but that does not necessitate that I support $3 trillion in taxes on the American people," Coalition to Protect American Workers chairman Marc Short said.

Short is the former chief of staff for Vice President Mike Pence. His organization plans to spend at least $25 million dollars on TV and digital ads.

Progressives take fight over Texas voting legislation to the airwaves

AUSTIN — With Texas Republican leaders showing no sign they will bow to criticism from some of the state's most powerful corporations to back away from legislation that would limit voting options, progressives are taking their opposition to the airwaves.

"They know that if the state is open to voter suppression, it's closed to business," the narrator in the "Don't Mess With Texas Voters" ad says in reference to opposition voiced by such corporations as Microsoft, Dell and American Airlines to two bills progressing in the Legislature.

Everything doesn't have to be political - al.com

I was strolling through like I always do, and on the television was this paper towel commercial. I'm not sure why some things are even advertised. If anybody needs them they will just go buy them. No influence needed.

But this particular commercial had a simple tune playing and a soft-voiced man talking over it, like their targeted adult audience has the mindset of a child. Or maybe their advertising geared toward training children is stronger than their paper towel. I don't know.
