New ad campaign to encourage vaccination around Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE — A new ad campaign hits airwaves Monday aimed at encouraging Milwaukeeans to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

The $900,000 campaign will feature TV, radio, and print ads featuring prominent Milwaukee community members sharing their reasons for getting the vaccine. The campaign, put on through public health non-profit Healthy MKE, will specifically target residents on the city's north and south sides which have been disproportionally impacted by the pandemic.

Study finds gender discrimination in Facebook's job ad algorithm

Facebook isn't supposed to let advertisers target by things like age or gender for employment ads anymore, but a new study showed that the social network's ad algorithm is doing it anyway.

More than two years after Facebook disabled that particular feature for housing and employment listings, researchers at the University of Southern California found that certain job listings mysteriously still show a noticeable skew in who sees them. The study's findings would be illegal under federal employment discrimination law.

Rio red-faced over vaccine campaign with upside-down mask

An ad campaign encouraging Brazilians to get vaccinated against Covid-19 became the butt of online jokes when some noticed it showed a man wearing his mask upside-down, prompting the Rio de Janeiro government to apologize Sunday.

Dubbed “Rio embraces the vaccine,” the public service billboard from the state government shows a health worker in a white lab coat giving himself an embrace, appearing to smile beneath an FFP2 mask whose metal clip — meant to fit over the nose — can be seen beneath his chin.

Intel’s latest anti-Apple ad has an embarrassing mistake – BGR

The following ad appeared on Reddit, showing a man with headphones on apparently playing a game on a laptop — more on the gaming part later. It might not be immediately clear, but some people quickly realized that the laptop happens to be a MacBook Pro, and they pointed it out on Twitter.

That trackpad size and design combined with the keyboard are indications that we’re looking at a MacBook, or a MacBook lookalike, of which there are many. But the image Intel uses comes from a series of photos available on Getty Images . Intel placed its logo on the part of the image that would show two USB-C ports next to a headphone jack in the same port placement as seen on the MacBook Pro.
