Etsy pivots ad campaign to support sellers as mask sales continue to rise | Ad Age

Pre-pandemic, Etsy had planned to market its wares this spring by focusing on products that are normally top sellers at this time of year, including items like jewelry and wedding products. But when the coronavirus sent society into lockdown and many small businesses into economic crisis, the 15-year-old online marketplace pivoted to a different marketing message.

Tri-County Health Department officials say they hope the stay-at-home order is limiting opportunities for teens to vape.

Roberts said one of the silver linings in the pandemic could be that more nicotine users of all ages can find an opportunity to quit.

By using bots to impersonate human beings, the scammers fraudulently got advertisers to pay for ad impressions that were never actually viewed by a real person.
