Palmer window painter brightens up downtown storefronts - KTVA 11 - The Voice of Alaska

“[The owner] didn’t give me any parameters, she just said something happy and inspirational, so tulips fit the bill for that,” Reger said.

October 9, 1948 - Coleman Remodeling - This photo ran in the paper on this date in 1948, but may have been taken as early as 1886. It marks the completion of the remodeling of the shoe store at 911 Main Street. It is noted in the story that G.A. Coleman is "believed to be the oldest exclusive shoe concern in the state." The caption for the photo did not survive, but on the back three names are listed, G.A. Coleman, John Marshall and William Coleman.

But the dressmakers saw an opportunity and transitioned from making dresses to making an essential item Little Village needs : face masks.

Since the stay-at-home order was declared, the dressmakers at 3535 W. 26th St. have made over 17,000 masks for first responders, health clinics and to anyone who asked — for free.

Local bank plans new from-scratch branch across from Village Shopping Center - Richmond BizSense

With the virtues of the drive-thru teller line on full display in the age of coronavirus safety measures, a local bank is moving forward with plans for a new standalone location in the city's West End that will replace a walk-in-only storefront across the street.

Atlantic Union Bank this month filed a plan of development to construct a new location with a drive-thru at 7000 Three Chopt Road, on the site of the existing 3 Chopt Mart convenience store.
