Baltimore City plans coronavirus ad campaign to combat myth that African American residents are

Baltimore officials are planning a targeted ad campaign to reach the city's black residents in hopes of combating rumors that black people cannot get the new coronavirus, the city's health commissioner announced Tuesday.

In response, Baltimore plans to post "culturally relevant signage" — beyond social media and traditional advertising — in locations around the city where officials believe some black residents are gathering, despite a statewide stay-at-home order, Dzirasa said. Locations for the signs will include bus stops, corner stores and other "hot spots."

Biggest Trump super PAC test drives #BeijingBiden campaign - Axios

A leading pro-Trump super PAC is testing a new ad campaign to paint Joe Biden as soft on China and redirect criticism of President Trump's coronavirus response.

Driving the news: Beginning Friday, America First Action will spend $10 million in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania — which yielded pivotal but bare victories for Trump in 2016 — to brand the presumptive Democratic nominee as "Beijing Biden" and see what sticks.

Details: The ads, previewed by Axios, are slightly different for each state, to target different audiences. They attack Biden for "his weakness" on China and globalist ideals, which the group charges led to "hundreds of thousands of jobs" being sent overseas.

Washington Attorney General Sues Facebook Over Campaign Ads

Washington state is suing Facebook – again – for selling political ads without disclosing all necessary information about who’s behind them.

Attorney General Bob Ferguson first sued Facebook over the issue in 2018, with the company agreeing to a $238,00 settlement. After that, rather than comply with all of the disclosure requirements of Washington campaign finance law, Facebook said it would no longer sell political ads in Washington state.

Despite that, the company has continued to do so. While it maintains digital copies of the ads _ along with information about what political group paid for them _ in its ad library, the library does not contain all of the information required. Missing data include who the address of the ad’s sponsor, the cost and dates of payment, the name of the person paying, and the method of payment.
