Less than half of San Francisco's storefront businesses are still in operation after nonessential workplaces in the city closed earlier this year due to coronavirus-related restrictions, according to a new survey.
CBS affiliate KPIX 5 reported Monday that a survey from San Francisco's Chamber of Commerce found that roughly 1,300 businesses have permanently closed their doors as a result of revenue losses from the pandemic. Approximately 1,200 have reopened.

Lovecraftian horror game The Sinking City , which initially debuted just over a year ago, has gone missing. It's no longer available to purchase on Steam, nor on the Epic Games Store, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4. In a statement published today , the game's developer, Frogwares, released an open letter detailing why.
"The reason is a bit complicated, yet at the same time, quite simple," reads the statement. "Short version: We were forced to terminate the contract with our licensee for several breaches of our agreement. We urge you to read this open letter to our fans, journalists and people of the industry, to understand why this is happening and how you can still get The Sinking City ."

Jacob Blake's family made an impassioned plea for justice outside the Kenosha County Courthouse Tuesday afternoon as Blake was undergoing another surgery in Milwaukee.
Attorneys for Blake and his family said the 29-year-old Kenosha man was left paralyzed by the shots fired by a Kenosha Police officer Sunday, with his spinal cord at least partially severed and several vertebrae shattered.
"They shot my son seven times. Seven times. Like he didn't matter. But my son matters. He is a human being, and he matters," said his father Jacob Blake, Sr.
