Apple will now give customers an entire year to buy extended warranty for products - The Verge
Apple is yet again making changes to the window of time customers have to buy its AppleCare+ extended warranty for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and other products. According to Bloomberg , the company has stretched the eligibility for AppleCare+ to an entire year after the purchase of whatever device you're covering. Retail staff and customer support staff were informed of the change on Monday, though Apple's website still doesn't reflect any update.
$1.5M in utility bill-payment assistance still available to OUC customers - bungalower
We told you HERE in April that the OUC’s Board of Commissioners had approved a $12.1 million customer relief package in response to the pandemic. It included $2.6 million for Project CARE, a program that provides emergency assistance to residential customers in danger of losing their utility service.
OUC – The Reliable One is offering immediate electric and water bill relief to residential customers who are eligible for Project CARE and has provided nearly 24,000 customers with aid through payment arrangements and financial assistance through Project CARE since April, and there is nearly $1.5 million still remaining in the fund .

Robinhood Closes $200M Series G to Improve Customer Experience
Robinhood announced it had 3 million new customer accounts at the beginning of 2020, bringing its total customer base to 10 million. At the time, it also had closed two Series F funding rounds. Now, the pioneering broker of free trades is building on its success by raising $200 million in Series G funding, increasing the company’s valuation to $11.2 billion from D1 Capital Partners.
Robinhood also recently announced that its Daily Average Revenue Trades (DARTs) were 4.31 million in June, which was more monthly trades than Charles Schwab and E-Trade combined , and its DARTs more than doubled in Q2 compared to Q1.

LADWP urges customers to conserve power after outages during state’s worst heat wave in
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power urged its 1.4 million customers to cut back on their electricity use during peak hours from 3 p.m to 10 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
The utility made the request after nearly 4,000 of its customers across the San Fernando Valley lost service Friday, when California’s worst heat wave in years began.
The outages were not part of rolling blackouts prompted by statewide power shortages, according to LADWP. However, utility officials believe the heat overburdened local networks.
