The restaurant, 7th + Grove, is one of several across the country featured in Pepsi's latest ad campaign called Pepsi Dig In . It's a platform that supports Black-owned restaurants by providing training, business growth opportunities and raising visibility for the industry.
Dr. Jamaris Glenn is the co-owner of the 7th + Grove and says the 30-second featured video played on television during the recent Tampa Bay Buccaneers game.
"This opportunity means everything," Glenn said. "There was excitement, nervousness, anxiety but it was a beautiful experience."

Even with the constant drumbeat of news about election high jinks in 2020, allegations of a fake voting center in Orange County stood out as something brazen.
The center was advertised on Vietnamese language radio and television as an election assistance site, a "secure" location where non-English speakers could guarantee their absentee ballots weren't "fraudulent." Another sign that was posted outside the office said "ballot room" or "polling place" in Vietnamese.
Ad campaign for COVID-19 testing wasn't money well spent
If Kansas had an award for the biggest waste of tax dollars, it would surely go to the recent television ad campaign aimed at getting people to take a COVID-19 test. Don't get me wrong. I am all in favor of testing, vaccinations, masks, handwashing and social distancing.
But these particular television ads are demeaning to older Kansans and insult the intelligence of the general public. The only thing they inspire me to do is to turn off the television, which makes me think they might be having the opposite of the intended effect.

I was watching real American football Saturday night over here in the States (that’s right, I’m sporty af) on ESPN, and between the blur of commercials that ensued during timeouts, I noticed something… familiar.
Playing on the TV was a commercial from Ford Motors. It wasn’t a commercial I had seen before: an ad about the pandemic and about “finishing strong,” whether that meant 2020 or the pandemic in general. I knew there was a reason why I had this familiar feeling, but it was late and I was just waiting for Texas A&M to end the game already so I could go to bed. So I hadn’t put two and two together just yet.
