Stripe pulls ecommerce support for Trump website | TechRadar

Payment processing company Stripe has become the latest tech firm to go against Donald Trump after it announced it would no longer manage payments for the out-going president's campaign website.

In addition to Stripe, both PayPal and Shopify have been moderating their platforms for several years. In 2017 following the Charlottesville riots, PayPal began banning far-right organizations, while Shopify has removed a number of controversial online stores in recent years.

Panasonic partners with Anchanto to expand its ecommerce capabilities across APAC -

According to Indian Retailer , through the partnership, Panasonic will leverage Anchanto’s omnichannel Order Management System (OMS), SelluSeller, to enhance its ecommerce capabilities and have a single source of truth for real-time sales, inventory, and product information for all online channels.

Overall, the implementation of the SaaS system comes to bring coherence to Panasonic’s business operations across different countries, models, and systems. In the longer term, the company is aiming at a 4x growth of its ecommerce revenue share through this strategic move.

COVID brings an explosion in ecommerce, but high volume of stalled carts causes concern -

While many businesses have floundered during the pandemic, the regulatory response has created an environment for tech companies to flourish. Unsurprisingly, in a time of lockdown and restrictions, ecommerce has boomed. According to Adobe, online shopping in the United States achieved between four and six years’ worth of growth in just a couple of months in earlier 2020.

Obstacles remain, however, and there is a high rate of transaction failure. To sustain growth, we need to understand and solve the challenges that lead to incomplete transactions. As pandemic restrictions are lifted and people can move more freely, their shopping options will increase, which means a higher rate of people than usual may shift back to previous transaction habits.
