Tarentum business owners are hoping people are ready to boogie back into the borough for the nightlife.
Events are scheduled for the third Thursday of each month — beginning April 15 — and continuing through October or November, said David Rankin, an organizer and executive director of Faith Community Partners .
The bedrock of the markets is that participating businesses stay open until 8 p.m., making themselves available to customers who might not be able to get there during the day. Many will offer specials and promotions.

Your full guide to shopping from Monday | eKathimerini.com
Shoppers will as of Monday face a hybrid system of retail options as the market takes its first steps toward a full reopening.
Consumers will be able to leave their municipality (but must stay within their region) to do their shopping at retail stores – but this won't be the case for food: In the latter case, shoppers will still have to make their purchases within their municipality or up to 2 kilometers outside it, sending a text message with the number 2 and their name and address to 13033.

From curbside pick-up to same-day delivery, the pandemic has shifted many people's shopping habits.
The U.S. Department of Commerce says online sales were up 32% last year. Before the pandemic, Amazon was out-performing all of the big box retailers with online sales. Now, experts say the pandemic has given the other companies a chance to play catch up.
Omri Traub is the co-founder of Popcart, an online tool used to compare prices online. He says the pandemic has underscored the importance of smart shopping. He says 1.3 million people worldwide are expected to sign up to be sellers this year, and frankly, they're not all reliable.

Value Shopping at Keeneland on Blue Grass Stakes Saturday | Kentucky Sports Radio
A slight touch of normalcy returns to central Kentucky this weekend as Keeneland begins the spring meet on its traditional place on the calendar — four weekends prior to Oaks and Derby. Uncle Andy has signed off on allowing a smattering of fans to attend, and those “lucky” enough to grace the grounds will pass through the gates at the equivalent of a $10 across-the-board wager . . . for general admission.
Finding value in a short field can be a tall task. Sometimes, it makes more sense to keep it simple rather than engage in a creative search for hidden clues that may well be best kept hidden. Flown is the only filly in this field with a win over the Keeneland lawn, and she just so happens to be the longest price on the morning line.
Easter Bunny joins cast of "Curbside Characters" at Hilldale Shopping Center
He and a Disney princess greeted customers who got takeout from restaurants at Hilldale Shopping Center.
Hilldale started the "Curbside Characters" program earlier this year. Spokesperson Julia Hix says they received a lot of good feedback, so they brought it back this April.
"It's truly a great experience when these types of interactions have not been able to be had the last year," Hix told 27 News. "So it's a great way to spread some joy and then you also get to enjoy food from your favorite restaurant.
