In Paris, Ecommerce Warehouses Get a Chic Makeover | WIRED

So since 2013, Paris has been developing "logistics hotels"—smaller mixed-use developments used for delivery logistics, located in residential neighborhoods instead of the industrial urban fringe. The most unique "hotel," called Chapelle International, opened in April 2018, on top of an abandoned railway in the trendy 18th arrondissement in the city's northern section.

The development is smart real estate strategy, too, Dablanc says. Because logistics facilities usually bring in lower rents than other sorts of urban real estate, the mixed-use development gives Sogaris other revenue.

Strategy to Launch Your eCommerce Store from Scratch - GISuser.com

My own opinion: to consider an eCommerce store as a type of business – it’s a big conceptual mistake, which can ruin all your endeavors on the root.

* * *

Business – is primarily the creation of a product, the formation of why customers will come to you in general and for what they will pay money: range, prices, service and so on.

New Decade, New Risks: Addressing Emerging Ecommerce Payment Fraud

We've seen some dramatic shakeups in the payments industry over the past decade. Many of the same technologies, strategies, and concepts that now dominate the market — mobile commerce, IoT, voice-enabled commerce—barely existed in 2010, if at all. Transformative as it may have been, though, the next decade promises even greater upheaval in the market.

It's near impossible to keep up with the pace of change in ecommerce payment. That's a problem, because fast-paced innovation will inevitably lead to vulnerabilities.

GSA amends e-commerce effort to entice commercial providers -- Washington Technology

The General Services Administration's rerelease of its e-commerce portal solicitation shows the agency is figuring out what works for the ambitious project, according to industry experts.

The agency reissued the solicitation for its commercial e-marketplace on Jan. 8. Vendors who bid on the initial solicitation had until Jan. 15 to submit revisions to their bids.

In its initial October solicitation , GSA asked commercial e-commerce platform providers to compete for its "proof of concept" model that will give federal buyers with government purchase cards an online marketplace where they can buy commercial products priced below the micro-purchase threshold of $10,000.
