Car Marketplace CarGurus Has Acquired Autolist | PYMNTS.com
CarGurus, an auto marketplace based in Boston, has acquired car shopping platform startup Autolist, according to reports .

CarGurus is a successful company that went public in 2017, and it's going to keep Autolist as its own brand and website. The company will test new products and initiatives, however.
CarGurus Chief Financial Officer Jason Trevisan said the company is going to merge with and acquire companies in its goal of expanding its offerings and moving into dealer software and technology. The company recently acquired British car site PistonHeads to help with its U.K. presence. PistonHeads also still operates under its own brand name.

Utrecht-based Leap secures €7.39 million to expand its energy marketplace | EU-Startups
Leap , a universal distributed energy marketplace, today announced a new capital raise totaling €7.39 million from a combination of equity and debt. The Series A funding round was led by Union Square Ventures , being their first investment in the energy sector. Silicon Valley Bank funded the debt portion of the capital raise.
Leap, founded in 2017, enables real-time automated trading on energy markets. Its Distributed Energy eXchange (DEX) platform grants generation assets and energy resources including battery energy storage, electric vehicles and HVAC systems access to global demand response programmes, renewable energy certificate programmes and real-time pricing through a single API.
Kroger produces new Marketplace store in Sterling
Shoppers who want to continue Krogering in Sterling Heights may now do so — just across the street from the grocery store’s old location at 18 Mile and Dequindre roads.
The new $35 million Kroger Marketplace building, which is over 129,000 square feet in size, officially opened to the public Jan. 15.
During a Jan. 14 on-site media preview tour through the building, Kroger Associate Communications Manager Lauren Montalbano said this is the sixth Kroger Marketplace that has been in Michigan.

A t the NRF Big Show in New York City, Stuart Hogue , Nike's VP, marketplace developmen t, discussed the sports giant's successful partnership with Zalando that he said should serve as a "bit of a blueprint" for other brands and marketplaces to copy.
The presentation drew a large crowd and followed Nike's move last November to end its direct sales relationship with Amazon, the world's largest marketplace.
Hogue was joined in the session by Carsten Keller, VP, direct-to-consumer at Zalando, pictured right, the leading online fashion platform for Europe.
