Typically, the less often an item is purchased and the more expensive it is, the more extended the decision making. However, this isn't always the case. Someone may buy an emerald necklace on impulse, someone else may be so loyal to a certain car make and model that the purchase is almost routine and someone else may agonize over what laundry detergent to bring home. Buying a solar system takes a lot of consideration. Again, personalities are different.

Firefighters ring up customers after clerk falls ill | myfox8.com

BOWNE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A recent medical call for some eastern Kent County firefighters shows just how seriously they take their customer service pledge.

It was after midnight on Jan. 7. Duncan Elliott, a clerk at the J & H Family Store near Alto, wasn't feeling well. First, he called his boss for some relief help. Then he called 9-1-1 for some medical help.

"We'll get a call like that. It happens fairly regularly," Alto-Bowne Township Fire Department Deputy Chief Andy Vanderziel told News 8 on Thursday.

Epic Systems warns customers it will stop supporting Google Cloud

Account reps from Epic Systems, one of the largest providers of medical record systems, have started calling customers with a clear message: We will not be pursuing further integrations with Google Cloud.

Epic's reps told customers the company would instead focus its energies on Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. They said the company decided to halt development with Google Cloud because it wasn't seeing sufficient interest among its health system customers to warrant the investment.

Oklahoma Electric Cooperative warning customers about new scam | KFOR.com

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – An Oklahoma electric company is warning its customers about a scam involving your electric meter at home.

Officials with the Oklahoma Electric Cooperative say scammers are calling people and saying their meter needs to be replaced because it’s a fire hazard.

After telling you about the dangers, the scammers then say you are required to pay $500 for the new meter.

How businesses, customers are adapting to bag ban in Dutchess - News - recordonline.com -

Kim Caruso was left with a stack of at least 500 plastic bags on Jan. 1, despite phasing them out at her Poughkeepsie running and sneaker store over the past year.

Each of them had cost the owner of Fleet Feet about two to five cents, she said. The paper bags she now offers customers cost her between 21 and 40 cents each. Still, she decided she wouldn’t charge them a fee per bag.

“In some cases, it’s more than 10 times the cost,” said Caruso, who has opted not to charge customers a fee per bag. Many stores in the region are charging five cents. “That’s really the thing that I wish customers knew. We decided to absorb that as a cost of doing business. Customers think the five cents is a way for companies to, quote, un-quote, make money, which is far from the truth because the paper bags are so much more expensive.”
