Customers cheer after woman gives birth at Missouri Walmart - ABC News

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Customers cheered at a Walmart in Missouri after a woman gave birth to a baby girl in the store's toilet paper aisle.

Jessica Hinkle, manager of the store in Springfield, said the woman told employees Wednesday that her water broke. Hinkle held up a sheet for privacy while a labor nurse who happened to be in the store and firefighters helped the woman deliver her baby in just 45 minutes, KYTV reported.

Southern Wisconsin businesses find new ways to reach customers

DEFOREST (WKOW) -- Laura Hyke owns Karate America in DeForest. As she watched the news the past couple weeks, she knew her business was about to take a hit.

The answer was online classes. Many of Hyke's clients are school-age children now at home. So, she's trying to reach them through daily lessons.

"Each day we send out modules that has a lesson plans, fun ideas, physical challenges, fun games, videos, all sorts of things to keep the kids on their karate track."

NCDMV cancels Saturday hours at some locations, asks customers to use online services

RALEIGH, NC (WSPA) – The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles announced Friday they would be canceling their Saturday hours at their 13 offices across the state that are normally open on Saturdays.

According to the release, anyone who had appointments at any of those offices are being contacted and are being offered appointments for another date.

According to a news release, the NCDMV closed more than half of its offices because of concerns over COVID-19 on Wednesday, and employees impacted are being reassigned to help staff at other offices.

Slack adds 7K customers in 7 weeks amid remote-work boom, besting its preceding 2 results –

Today, Slack , a popular internal chat application, announced that it added 7,000 new customers between February 1 and March 18. That is 47 days. For context, Slack added 5,000 customers total in its preceding quarter , making its recent customer adds impressive.

Slack, like other companies whose products can help facilitate remote work, has seen a boom in usage due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has forced people to work from home. TechCrunch covered that fact this morning , saying that the company's success would depend on how many of its new users became customers. Today's SEC filing indicates that the newly public entity is succeeding in its efforts to monetize recent usage gains.
