Social media and Google advertising campaigns have continued to grow in recent years. Because entrepreneurs and ad managers can generate a highly specific audience based on their customer personas, the ROI to online ad campaigns is substantial. However, to a first-time ad campaign creator, the entire process can feel a bit intimidating.
How do you define your audience? Which advertisement idea will work? How do you set a budget? The process should be iterative, meaning it won’t be perfect on your very first try. But these following four key ingredients will help you create a first ad campaign that you can be proud of: one that you can add onto and change as you receive data.
Quite a lot has been going on:

KFC ad showing finger-licking put on hold due to coronavirus
Encouraging people to lick their fingers while eating probably isn't the best advice when coronavirus has become a pandemic.
A U.K. TV ad campaign featuring people eating KFC's fried chicken and sensuously licking their fingers has been paused in light of the outbreak, as health bodies around the world encourage people to frequently and thoroughly wash their hands and avoid personal contact. The ad showed a montage of people eating, while Chopin's Nocturne Opus 9 No.2 played in the background.
Ford launches coronavirus-response ad campaign | WARC
Car manufacturer Ford is pulling all ads marketing its vehicles in the US, and replacing them with spots that stress how the company is responding to the coronavirus.
Two new ads were hurriedly put together late last week after the company realised a radically altered message was needed amidst the coronavirus pandemic, AdAge reports.
One ad, "Built For Right Now", underlines the company's 100-year history and how it built tanks and planes during wartime to support America.

Southers Marsh ad campaign is the berries - News - Wicked Local Plymouth - Plymouth, MA
Will Stearns and a man he identifies as his great-great-great-great grandfather (but looks suspiciously like his brother-in-law), are standing in a flooded bog, cranberries floating around them.
The great grandfather several times over then launches into a tale of the Mayflower’s arrival in Plymouth as the camera pans to a tiny replica of the ship sliding through a bog, cranberries bobbing against its sides.
According to this suspiciously familiar-looking grandfather, when the Pilgrims arrived, they discovered Southers Marsh, cranberries and golf. Video of Pilgrims golfing and joyfully tossing cranberries into their mouths follows.
Indian's tough-talking ad campaign stalls - Adventure Rider
When Indian Motorcycles was revived by Polaris, the company’s first target was obvious. Indian builds cruisers, big heavy cruisers—and so does Harley-Davidson. Indian was going to have to lure customers away from the Motor Company, and in the past few years, it’s done so. Now, it’s planning a campaign to take even more. Maybe.
* * *
So, the gloves are off. In fact, that’s a very apt metaphor, because one of the places Indian wanted to run these scrappy new ads? At NHL hockey games. Part of the reason for the massive ad budget is Indian was hoping to show these adverts at pro sporting events like the NHL and the NBA, says Visordown … and now there’s a problem. The NHL and the NBA have postponed their remaining games for now, due to COVID-19, and the rest of the season is in doubt for both leagues.

The Republican primary for the Kansas Senate seat has become uglier as Kris Kobach has emerged as the front-runner to succeed retiring Sen. Pat Roberts.
The conservative Club for Growth has mounted a new advertising campaign attacking rival candidate Rep. Roger Marshall over his alleged poor treatment of female patients as a doctor.
Mr. Kobach held a double-digit percentage point lead on Mr. Marshall , his nearest competitor, in a February McLaughlin & Associates poll.
Linkedin Launches 'Conversation Ads' to Help Brands Capitalize on the Rise of Messaging |
You can add several CTA buttons to each of your messages, giving your recipients more ways to respond.
The concept taps into the compulsion of choice in order to prompt increased action. Reach out with a singular offer and you might not connect with an individual user, but by offering various, optional responses, you expand the potential of engagement. Various psychological studies underline the value of choice in this respect - but don't offer too many options. The paradox of choice suggests that with too many variables to consider, response rates dip.
